This is an original 19" x 27" Yugoslavian poster for a 1970s rerelease of the 1939 Walter Lang film The Little Princess based on the 1905 novel A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett, screenplay by Ethel Hill and Walter Ferris and starring Shirley Temple as Sara Crewe. Plot summary: In 1899 in London when Captain Crewe [Ian Hunter] goes to the Transvaal to fight in the Boer War, he leaves his young daughter Sara Crewe with Amanda Minchin, [Mary Nash] the head of a private school for girls. Sara's situation changes when her father is reported missing in action and the school stops receiving her tuition payments. Folded, near mint condition.
