This is a 13" x 27.5" Italian locandina designed by Enzo Nistri for
the 1968 Gordon Douglas film The Detective based on the 1966
novel of the same title by Roderick Thorp, screenplay by Abby Mann and
starring Frank Sinatra as Joe Leland. Plot summary: While
investigating the murder of a gay man, New York City police detective
Joe Leland is drawn into an unanticipated world of violence and
drugs. Meanwhile he is having serious problems with his wife Karen
[Lee Remick].
