Here is a 27.5" x 13" Iranian poster by an unknown designer made to
promote the 1967 Syamak Yasami 98-minute color film Dalaho
starring Behrouz Vossoughi based on a screenplay by Ibrahim
Zamani-Ashtiani with cinematography by Ahmad Shirazi. The film was
produced by the Purya Film Company. Plot summary: In an old wealthy
family an executor executes a will that causes bloody incidents. In
this family the inheritance must not be divided and the male child is
effectively considered the heir. Before this procedure was used again,
the executor was apparently killed by a man named Seif who was his
sister's husband. The executor's son Barzu disappeared and the
executor gave the wealth to his niece Arezu. After 20 years when Seif
was about to marry his son off to Arezu and transfer the inheritance
to himself in this way, Barzu turned up. Seif tried several times to
kill Barzu but after a series of operations it became clear Seif's
plot had failed. When this became clear Seif was arrested, Arezu and
Barzu married and the wealth was once again transferred in the old
way.
