This is a 23.5" x 35.25" Iranian poster designed by Mahmoud Behnam to
promote the 1974 Dariush Kooshan film Let's Strike and Go
[bezan berim] starring Aref based on a screenplay by Parviz Khatib
with cinematography by Ghodratallah Ehsani. The film was produced by
the Pars Film Company. Plot summary: Ehsan was a wealthy man who had
a great liking for Eshrat, the sister of his deceased wife, but he
could not marry her because she had three young daughters who had to
find husbands first. However the three daughters always found some
pretext for refusing to marry. They would say they had to have
sufficient opportunity to find the husband of their heart's desire.
Ehsan feigned sickness so the girls would get married sooner for his
sake; He pretended he was about to die, so they would help him realize
his only wish, which was to have a son-in-law and grandchildren; he
succeeded.
