Pictured is a first printing of a 23.5" x 35.5" Egyptian poster designed by Dimitri Gabriel, Studio Adly and Meftah to promote the 1951 111-minute Kamal Attia black-and-white film The Much-Loved One [habaebi ketir] starring Ragaa Abdou with story and dialogue by Abdel Aziz Salam and cinematography by Bruno Salvi. Plot summary: The musician Nabila [Ragaa Abdou] paid no attention to the admirers who gathered around her every day. Nabila lived only for her art and did not care for anything but her art and singing. Then a young man named Raouf who managed an advertising company [Kamal Al-Shennawi] appeared in her life and tried to tear down the walls Nabila had built around herself. He succeeded and she fell in love with him, but her wicked brother Farid [Farid Shawqi] did not like this because he had been planning for her to marry a wealthy man named Ghandur Bey [Abdel Ghani al-Nagdi]. The two of them fought over this; Nabila finally prevailed and married the one she loved.
