Pictured is an Egyptian 35" x 45" poster designed by Hassan Mazhar Gasour to promote the 1954 El-Sayed Ziada 107-minute black-and-white film Show Me the Way People [dillouni ya nas] starring Doria Ahmed based on story, screenplay and dialogue by El-Sayed Ziada with cinematography by Bruno Salvi. Plot summary: Hosni the poor boy [Shukry Sarhan] and Nahed the rich girl [Doria Ahmed] fell in love despite their social differences but Nahed's father took a vigilant stand against the relationship. One day the mother [Alawiya Gamil] saw her daughter hiding among some stalks with her boyfriend and chased her. During the chase Nahed was hurt in a fall and lost her memory, which caused her to wander in the street without knowing who she was. Then she met the hypnotist Dr. Ezzat [Mahmoud El-Meliguy] who made a nightclub performer of her and profited from her work behind her back. He knew her mother was looking for her and kept her out of sight. When the mother published Nahed's picture in the newspaper the crook hid her even more carefully. Nahed was hurt in another acident, her memory came back and she decided to go back to her mother, who welcomed her back, expressed regret and agreed to her marriage to Hosni.
