Sam J. Jones as Flash Gordon. Plot summary: Dr. Hans Zarkov [Topol]
skyjacks American football hero Flash Gordon aboard his rocketship
along with Flash's beautiful girlfriend Dale Arden [Melody Anderson].
Then the ship comes under the influence of the merciless Emperor Ming,
[Max von Sydow] who plans to kill Flash, destroy Earth and take Dale
