This is a 27" x 39" Spanish one-sheet poster designed by Max for the 1969 Andrew V. McLaglen film The Undefeated based on a story by Stanley Hough, screenplay by James Lee Barrett and starring John Wayne as Colonel John Henry Thomas. Plot summary: In the final days of the American Civil War, Union Colonel John Henry Thomas and his men drive a herd of 3,000 horses into Mexico to be sold in Durango. Colonel James Langdon [Rock Hudson] and his regiment of Confederate soldiers feel the war has deprived them of their homes and decide to join the French invasion of Mexico led by Emperor Maximilian. When they arrive in Mexico General Rojas [Antonio Aguilar] intercepts and holds them hostage to be exchanged for the herd of horses Colonel Thomas is bringing. When he arrives, the colonel has other ideas.
