This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1957 Lesley Selander
60-minute black-and-white film Tomahawk Trail based on a story
by Gerald Drayson Adams, screenplay by David Chandler and starring
Chuck Connors as Sergeant Wade McCoy. Plot summary: On the Tomahawk
Trail in Apache territory in what is now southeastern Arizona,
Mescalero Apaches steal the horses from a small group of soldiers led
by Lieutenant Jonathan Davenport [George Neise]. With the lieutenant
wounded and impaired by sunstroke, Sergeant McCoy takes over command
and leads the men back to Fort Bowie. At Fort Bowie they find that
the Apaches have murdered all the soldiers in the garrison. At the age
of 31, this was Harry Dean Stanton's first credited appearance in a
feature film (as Dean Stanton in the role of Private Miller,
Lieutenant Davenport's orderly).
