This is a 23" x 33" German one-sheet poster made for a 1961 rerelease
of the 1954 Otto Preminger film River of No Return based on a
story by Louis Lantz, screenplay by Frank Fenton and starring Marilyn
Monroe as Kay Weston. Plot summary: Farmer Matt Calder [Robert
Mitchum] helps Harry Weston [Rory Calhoun] after he has lost control
of his raft in a nearby river. Weston then steals Calder's rifle and
horse and absconds with them, leaving his wife Kay behind. Calder is
expecting an indian attack and is forced to take Kay Weston and his
son Mark [Tommy Rettig] on a treacherous journey downriver using the
abandoned raft.
