This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster by an unknown designer for the
1956 Joseph Losey and Alec C. Snowden British noir film Finger of
Guilt AKA The Intimate Stranger written by Howard Koch and
starring Richard Baseheart as Reginald Wilson. Both Losey and Koch
had been blacklisted when the film was made and worked under the names
Joseph Walton and Peter Howard. Plot summary: Because of an affair
with his boss's wife, film cutter Reggie Wilson has lost his Hollywood
job. After he moves to England and creates a new career he begins
receiving letters from a stalker named Evelyn Stewart [Mary
Murphy]. He cannot remember her but she seems to know all about him
and is making demands. Wilson wonders if he has two personalities
with a second self who has another life unknown to him. The letters
also take a toll on his relationship with his new wife Lesley [Faith
Brook].
