Plot summary: The year is 3028 and Earth is under attack by the Drej. The Drej are aliens made of pure energy whose mother ship destroys Earth with an energy beam. Cale Tucker escapes just before this happens and later finds himself on a quest to find the former earth ship Titan, believed to contain a mechanism that will create a new Earth. The Drej are also trying to find the Titan so they can destroy it.
