This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster for the 1974 Richard
Friedenberg film The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams based on a
1972 novella by Charles E. Sellier Jr., screenplay by Larry Dobkin and
starring Dan Haggerty as Grizzly Adams. According to Wikipedia, this
film was produced on a small budget of $140000 and ended up grossing a
total of $65 million worldwide as the 7th highest-grossing film in
1974. The film became the foundation for a popular televison series
that ran in 1977 and 1978, with a single final two-hour episode
called The Capture of Grizzly Adams aired by NBC on 21 February
1982 in which Adams finally stands trial and proves his innocence.
Plot summary: After he is wrongly accused of murder, California
woodsman Grizzly Adams, who had once been a Boston cobbler, rescues an
orphaned bear, names it "Ben" and finds he has a strong natural bond
with the local wildlife. While Ben is growing up Adams also forms a
close friendship with a native American named Nakoma [Don Shanks] by
caring for him while a broken leg heals.
