This is a 27" x 41" US poster for the 1970 Francois Trufaut film The Wild Child based on a memoir by Jean Itard with screenplay and dialogue by Francois Truffaut and Jean Grualt and starring Jean-Pierre Cargol as Victor of Aveyron. Plot summary: In 1798 a child is found in a French forest who has had no human contact for the first 10 or 11 years of his life and cannot walk, speak, read or write. Dr. Jean Itard [Francois Truffaut] becomes interested, takes custody of the boy and tries to educate him. Victor gradually develops the ability to interact socially with prolonged indoor confinement.
