This is a 27" x 39" Spanish one-sheet poster using art by Macario
"Mac" Gomez to promote the 1980 Lamont Johnson film Cattle Annie
and Little Britches based on a novel by Robert Ward with
screenplay by David Eyre and starring Scott Glenn as Bill Dalton.
Plot summary: The events in this film are partly accurate
historically, based on the lives of two adolescent girls in 19th
Century Oklahoma who leave home to cast their lot with some famous
criminals, the remnants of the Doolin-Dalton Gang. The older of the
two girls is Anna Emmaline McDoulet "Cattle Annie" played by Amanda
Plummaer; the younger is Jennie Stevens "Little Britches" [Diane
Lane]. The two girls try to inspire Bill Doolin [Burt Lancaster] to
achieve greater things out of great admiration formed in the reading
of accounts of him in stories by Ned Buntline, the famous American
journalist, publicist and dime novelist.
