This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian poster designed by Walid Wahig for the
1975 Ismail al-Qadi film Divorcees based on story, screenplay
and dialogue by Kamel al-Hefnawi and starring Shams El-Barudy as
Samia. Plot summary: Samia loved her husband Wahid, but there were
many indications he was having relations with other women. Samia asked
for a separation and formed a new relationship with Adel, [Shukry
Sarhan] the manager at the company where she worked. Adel knew Samia
well and tried to get her father [Imad Hamdi] to let him marry her
after her divorce. Samia's mother Zeinab [Mimi Shakeeb] objected
strenuously; Samia became confused about her relationship with Adel,
but Adel pressed the case until Samia's mother agreed to the marriage.
