This is a 29" x 43" Argentine poster for the 1941 Gordon Wiles
film Forced Landing based on a screenplay by Edward Churchill
and Maxwell Shane and starring Richard Arlen as Dan Kendall. Plot
summary: In a fictitious tropical country called Mosaque (which looks
very much like some part of South America) an American pilot named Dan
Kendall gets into a fight with a local Colonel Golas [Nils Asther]
when he buys a drink for the man's fiance Johanna Van Deuren [Eva
Gabor]. Dan is arrested and then released after the colonel learns he
has saved Johanna's life earlier in the day, but part of the bargain
is that Dan must resign his commission and go to work for the Mosaque
Civil Airline. Unbeknownst to Dan, the colonel is sabotaging the
airline's payroll flights and diverting the funds. This was Eva
Gabor's film debut.
