Rinaldo Geleng for the 1949 Carlo Ludovico Bragaglia black
comedy Totò le mokò AKA Il bandito della Casbah based on
the 1931 Henri La Barthe French novel Pépé le Moko, screenplay
by Arduino Maiuri and starring Totò as Antonio Lumaconi / Totò le
Mokò. Plot summary: When the mobster Pep le Mok dies in a police
shootout, his gang decides to replace him with one of his relatives
from Naples, a street musician named Antonio Lumaconi.
