This is a 26.5" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1988
Sirus Alvand film Cargo written by Gholamreza Moosavi and
starring Jahangir Almasi. Plot summary: Ali Danesh, an archaeologist
with the Ministry of Culture and Art, was trying to dig up a
3000-year-old collection of tremendous value. Danesh informed some
newspaper journalists about the discovery. The heads of the ministry,
who wanted to seize the collection, reprimanded Danesh for informing
the newspapers and they took steps with some foreigners to sell the
collection. On the other hand General Azadi, who was collecting
ancient artifacts for his personal museum and a broker named Nosrat
were knocking themselves out to acquire the collection. Azadi, who
had more influence than others, took control the collection despite
the efforts of Danesh, and Nosrat absconded with it to get it into
General Azadi's hands with a new transaction. The general and Nosrat
were making a deal but before reaching the site for the talks Nosrat
told his mother where the collection was located so she could make it
available to Ali Danesh in case of danger. Danesh obtained some of
the items discovered and buried them to keep them out of the hands of
Azadi and the brokers. Azadi, who still wanted to get the collection,
knocked out Danesh and was killed by Nosrat.
