This is a 27" x 39" Iranian poster designed by Heddat for the 1987
Maunchehr Mosayerri film Retribution written by Saeed Jam and
Manuchehr Mosayerri and starring Jamshid Mashayekhi. Plot summary:
Heydar is a seagoing pilot who carries commercial goods in his
motorized launch. He hits a storm during one trip and jettisons
commercial goods belonging to Ghafur to save his passengers. After
Ghafur complains they jail Heydar at the gendarmerie station. He is
finally released when his old friend the pilot Esmail, who lives in
Tehran, comes to the port and pays a fine to get him out. Esmail
brings his young son along so he can get out of the country with
Heydar's cooperation. Esmail hides his son in Heydar's launch and
they set out on the pretext of an ocean voyage. When they are at sea
Esmail threatens Heydar with a weapon and makes his plans known.
Heydar does not go along and in the resulting fight Esmail's son is
killed.
