This is a 27" x 38" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1990
film The Glass Eye written and directed by Hossein Ghasemi Jami
and starring Alireza Eshaghi as Ghasem. Plot summary: Ghasem is sent
to the front as a member of the Basiji Public Relations Unit. He sees
the combatants in a difficult situation and wants to help them even
though his job is just public relations. One of the combatants named
Abol-Ghasem, [Seyed Javad Hashemi] a member of the Intelligence
Operations Unit, goes to the front with a group of basijis for
support. He photographs the conflicts between the combatants and the
Iraqi soldiers, but when Abol-Fazl is killed in the fighting Ghasem
turns on the camera and rushes to their aid. He is martyred after a hard
fight.
