This is a 23.5" x 35" Iranian poster for the 1990 Amir Ghavidel
film Galan written by Amir Ghavidel and Abdollah Javanbakhsh
and starring Behzad Javanbakhsh. Plot summary: Galan is a champion
rider and a disciple of an old man named Matlub Qoli. This
infatuation causes a dispute between him and his wife Maral and they
end up separating. Galan is left alone with his only son Badrom. On
the other hand an influential rider known as Aqa forces Galan to lose
a horse race. During the race Galan falls off his horse and is
severely injured. His physician orders him to stop riding. This
drives Galan into addiction and puts him in a miserable situation.
Because of his addiction Maral thinks he is incompetent to take care
of his son so she asks the court to turn him over to her. This causes
a transformation in Galan and he decides to quit his addiction. The
judge, who likes Galan, helps him and he is able to go back to horse
racing. In the final race Galan wins again and defeats Aqa.
