This is a 27" x 37" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1990
Asghar Hashemi film Hoping for Marriage written by Asghar
Hashemi and Fereydoun Jeyrani and starring Bijan Emkanian. Plot
summary: After completing his military service Jahangir decides he
will marry a girl named Nahid. However her father's condition for
their marriage is that Jahangir must find suitable
employment. Jahangir is not in agreement with finding a job within the
prescribed time limit and so he ask for help from his retired father
Mashallah Khan. Mashallah Khan thinks because of his honest service
in an administrative organization they will hire his son. The office
rejects this. Mashallah goes to headquarters to get help from the
head of the hiring office. At headquarters he gets tangled up with an
intermediary who changes the direction of his life.
