This is a 26.5" x 39" Iranian poster designed by Bateni for the 1987
film Panic written and directed by Shahriar Bahrani and
starring Jafar Dehghan as Ibrahim. The story is set in the time of
the Iran-Iraq war. Plot summary: The officials at the Saudi embassy
give a briefcase containing confidential documents to enemy domestic
agents for transport across the frontier. The briefcase falls into
the hands of the police and after they break the code it becomes clear
the enemy intends to bomb a border village with chemicals. A
reconnaissance team is sent to Kordestan to find out what is
happening, but the village is bombed anyway and a large number of its
residents are killed. Enemy soldiers arrive in gas masks and clash
with the reconnaissance team. Reinforcements arrive and the enemy are
annihilated.
