This is a 26.25" x 18.5" Persian poster for the 1990 Shapur Gharib
film Return of the Hero written by Mohammad Afarideh and Hassan
Khadem and starring Hossein Khanibeik. Plot summary: A father learned
his son had been captured in Kordestan and that they were demanding
money for his release. With the help of family and relatives he
procured the required amount and with strenuous effort he went to the
place where they were holding his son. Instead of his son they gave
him one of the son's fellow soldiers with the same name. The youth
told the old man he had seen them take his son to the desert to be
shot. When the old man got back home he found his son waiting there;
he had fled before they could shoot him.
