This is a 21" x 30.5" Iranian poster for the 1968 film The Night of
the Angels [shab-e fereshtegan], a comedy written and directed by
Fereydun Gole and starring Reza Fazeli. Plot summary: Three friends
with different personalities were working in a store; when they were
off work at night they looked for wealthy girls to help them prosper.
To do this they presented themselves as sophisticated wealthy people
and acted as if they had a lot of money. They met three pretty
stylish girls and set themselves up as engineers. When they invited
the girls to their homes it became obvious that one of their fathers
owned the shop where the boys worked. The three fled after they
realized this. When the families of the girls sensed they had been
insulted they went after the three youths. During the pursuit the
youths were arrested on suspicion they were smuggling narcotics but
after investigation the police realized they were innocent. Then the
three boys lost their jobs and did not know what to do. When the
girls were confident the boys were innocent, they were no longer angry
and they all got married.
