This is a 27" x 41" US one-sheet poster designed by Reynold Brown for
the 1964 Roger Corman film The Masque of the Red Death based on
an 1842 short story by Edgar Allan Poe, screenplay by Charles Beaumont
and R. Wright Campbell and starring Vincent Price as Prince Prospero.
Plot summary: On a mountain in medieval Italy Prince Prospero is a
Satan-worshipper who finds himself and his castle surrounded by the
plague (the Red Death). The plague takes two forms: it is both a
disease and a masked figure that associates with people, attends balls
and chooses and does away with its victims.
