the 1971 James Hill film Black Beauty based on the novel by
Anna Sewell, starring Mark Lester. Plot summary: Joe Evans [Mark
Lester] is given a beautiful black stallion by his father, but after
his father dies Joe has a series of misfortunes and ends up losing his
stallion to a circus.
