This is a 26.5" x 37.5" Iranian poster designed by the Akbar Atelieh to promote the 1982 Nasser Mohammadi 73-minute color film Veterans [janbazan] starring Hossein Imrani based on a screenplay by Hossein Imrani with cinematography by Reza Anjamruz. The film was produced by the Kankash Studio. Plot summary: The enemy army had prepared a broad attack and deployed its armor in a hidden location. This was reported to Army Intelligence and Revolutionary Guard forces and their commanders prepared a group for dispatch to the area. Two old childhood friends, who had been out of touch for years, were chosen as members of this group. One of them was an army officer who had been at a hospital waiting for news about the birth of his first child when he was summoned. The other was a revolutionary guardsman who had been called from a wedding banquet. The group conducted the operation successfully but before returning they were all surrounded and killed.
