to promote the 1996 Behruz Afkhami film Scorpion [aghrab]
starring Jamshid Hashempur based a story by Nasser Shamloo with
cinematography by Rasool Ahadi. Plot summary: Through one of their
leaders in the Baluchestan area some arms and narcotics smugglers
asked Captain Yekeh Taz to let them move their goods through the
region in exchange for a huge sum of money. The captain agreed to
this but after receiving the money, on the appointed day he attacked
the smuggling caravan with full force and arrested them. The
smugglers killed the captain in retaliation. Commando Zolfaghar
Hosseini [Jamshid Hashempur], who had been previously appointed by the
captain to fight the smugglers, took action. He put on a disguise and
with the cooperation of Rahim [Hassan Rezai], a prisoner accused of
killing a famous smuggler, he made his way to the hideout of the
inernational narcotics brokers. The two of them tried to establish a
relationship with the narcotics dealers by presenting themselves as
arms merchants, but the smugglers were suspicious of what Zolfaghar
was saying so they separated him from Rahim and tried to kill him.
However after a lot of fighting in which Rahim was killed, Zolfaghar
gathered the necessary information for police intelligence.
Unfortunately the smugglers held him prisoner in the mansion hideout.
The police surrounded the hideout and after a long battle and the
release of Zolfaghar, the police arrested a number of the criminals
and also killed some of them.
