[zakhmi] starring Jamshid Hashempur based on story and screenplay by
Mohammad Saleh Ala with cinematography by Reza Banki. Plot summary: A
man named Yaqoub [Jamshid Hashempur] gets into a fight defending a
waiter at a coffee shop named Jamil [Sirous Kahvarinegad]. Jamil is
wounded with a knife in the fight and Yaqoub takes him to a hospital,
but it is much too late. Lieutenant Aziz [Mohammad Sadeghi] arrests
Yaqoub and puts him in jail pending location of the real killer.
After ten years Yaqoub is pardoned and released. He scours the city
looking for his son Youssef [Shayan Maghrebi]. He learns that
Lieutenant Aziz has become Major Aziz and had taken custody of his son
after the death of his mother. He is now asking Yaqoub to leave the
city. In a fight between the police and Nadim [Jalal Pishvaian], the
leader of a gang of smugglers, Youssef is taken hostage. Major Aziz's
wife tells Yaqoub what happened. Yaqoub gets involved; after a fight
with Nadim he frees Youssef but gets killed himself. Youssef never
learns Yaqoub was his real father.
