This is a 27" x 41" US poster for the 1983 Howard R. Cohen
film Space Raiders AKA Star Child produced by Roger
Corman, written by Howard R. Cohen and starring Vince Edwards as
Hawk. The film was criticized for its reuse of special effects footage
and music from the 1980 Jimmy T. Murakami film Battle beyond the
Stars, also produced by Roger Corman. Plot summary: Captain
C. F. "Hawk" Hawkens is a former space service colonel who has become
a pirate. His mission is to lead his crew on a raid to steal a
corporate space freighter. When they steal it they do not realize the
stolen ship has aboard a ten-year-old stowaway named Peter [David
Mendenhall]. Peter's father instigates a search for him using a robot
battle cruiser that can track him with an identity tag he is wearing.
Moreover, some bounty hunters also soon detect Peter's presence and
begin an effort to capture him so they can collect a ransom.
