Plot summary: The title says "girls don't scream," and this suspense thriller, written by women and directed by a woman, shows why they don't and why they should in Iran. The vehicle for this message is the story of Shirin [Tanza Tabatabayi], a woman who commits murder and is sentenced to death as restitution (qasas) even though she might have been exonerated if the tools and information for a proper defense had been available.
