This is a 22.5" x 31" Polish poster designed by Franciszek Starowieyski to promote the 1973 Wojciech J. Has film The Hourglass Sanatorium [Sanatorium pod Klepsydra] starring Jan Nowicki as Jozef, who has gone to see his dying father in a deteriorating sanatorium. It is an adaptataion of a story from a collection by Bruno Schulz. The film won the jury prize at the 1973 Cannes Film Festival and the prize for best production design at the 1974 Polish Film Festival.
