This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian promotional poster designed by Wahib
Fahmi to promote the 110-minute 1956 Kamal Attia black-and-white
film I Killed My Wife [qatalt zawgati] starring Madiha Yousri
based on story and screenplay by Kamal Attia with cinematograpy by
Mohamed Abdel Azim. A couple was unable to have children even though
they had been married for years. The husband was an insignificant
worker who loved his wife, so he kept her. There was a rumor in the
neighborhood that love had reemerged between the wife and her former
fiance, who had returned from a trip. The husband became suspicious
and decided to kill her. He was arrested and an attorney proved the
wife had not betrayed her husband, after the former fiance made a
confession. The husband was put in prison.
