This is a 55.75" x 39.5" two-piece Egyptian poster for the 1968 Kamal Salaheddin film Adawiyya based on story, screenplay and dialogue by Mohamed Anwar Abdullah and starring Nahed Sherif as Adawiyya. Plot summary: Hussein [Hamdy Ahmed] refused to allow his daughter Adawiyya to marry Mohammad [Mohamed Rushdy] the boy she loved, because he was unemployed. Mohammad looked for work without success but he finally went to a vocational training school in Alexandria where it was discovered he had a beautiful singing voice. He found success and went back to Hussein thinking he could now marry Adawiyya, but the father still refused and tried to marry her to someone else. Adawiyya finally ran away and married Mohammad anyway because he was the one she loved.
