This is a US 14" x 36" insert poster for the 1961 Jack Donohoue
film Babes in Toyland based on an operetta by Glen MacDonough,
screenplay by Ward Kimball, Joe Rinaldi and Lowell S. Hawley, libretto
by Anna Alice Chaplin and starring Ray Bolger as Barnaby. Plot
summary: The evil miser Barnaby hires some people to drown Tom Piper
(Tommy Sands) just before he marries Mary Quite Contrary (Annette
Funicello) and then steal Mary's sheep, which Bo Peep (Ann Jillian) is
looking after. The reason the evil Barnaby wants to do this is
because when Mary loses her livelihood because her sheep are stolen,
she will be forced to marry him out of economic necessity.
