This is a 27" x 39" Egyptian rerelease poster designed by Ahmed
Fouad to promote the 1955 Ibrahim Emara 133-minute black-and-white
film Song of Truth [lahn al-wafa] starring Abdel Halim Hafez
with story, screenplay and dialogue by Mohammed Mustafa Sami and
cinematography by Mohsen Nasr. Plot summary: A musician named Alam
[Hussein Riad] is wounded in love by an unfaithful wife, then develops
hatred for women; later he falls in love with his foster son Galal's
[Abdel Halim Hafez] intended bride Saham [Shadia], a Cairo chorus
girl. When this does not succeed either he abandons his feelings for
the girl, she marries the foster son and life returns to normal.
