The former pasha lived in the coutry with his daughter while his son lived in Cairo with his girl friend. A poor old man also lived on the country estate with his daughter and her aunt. There was a relationship between the pasha's daughter and the son of the another pasha. The father went to Cairo to get his eyes treated and tried while in Cairo to come to terms with his son. When he returned to the country estate he imagined his son longed for him and liked seeing him. The father believed this was true and sent a cable to his son inviting him to visit, live with him on the country estate and forget the girl friend. Then there was a love relationship between the son and the daughter of the old man, and one night he raped her. Then his girl friend suddenly called threatening to come to the country estate if he did not come to her immediately. He was compelled to go to Cairo and try to end his relationship with the other girl. She committed suicide in front of him. The police arrested him for killing her because there was evidence the country girl was pregnant. The pasha and his daughter went to Cairo to be near the imprisoned son. Then circumstances required the father of the girl to go to Cairo another time. The girl had her baby in his absence and sent her father a letter informing him, but the son of the pasha concealed the truth. The father asked the pasha to marry his son to the girl but he refused. The son married his girl friend at the right time and the father agreed to a marriage after holding his grandson in his arms.
