This is a 29" x 43" Argentine for the 1944 Edward Steichen U.S. Navy
film The Fighting Lady with narration written by John S. Martin
and Eugene Ling and narrated in English by Lieutenant Robert Taylor
(Charles Boyer did the French narration). Plot summary: Without
calling the ship anything other than its movie name The Fighting
Lady, this film chronicles the events from July 1943 to June 1944
in the life of aircraft carrier USS Yorktown in its first operations
following its commissioning in 1943. This film won the 1944 Academy
Award for best documentary feature. The Argentine poster design is
derived directly from the US one-sheet.
